I haven't been able to concentrate much at work. I've been sick, like miserably sick. I'm starting to feel better, but still not there yet. Hoping to recuperate enough for the long weekend ahead. RJ and I are taking Thursday and Friday off this week to go to NYC, then we'll be hitting up Boston on the weekend.
Never been to NYC before, so I'm both excited and scared. Mostly excited. A little scared of the vermin that I may see. I don't like rodents. And people keep telling me that I'll see mice everywhere, which just grosses me out. That I'll see mice before I see any rats. How about I see neither? That would be best. I've been scoping out places I want to eat. I'll only be there for two days, so it's not like I'll be able to see everything I want to anyway.
I've never been to Boston before either. My cousin Denise is there, so I'm not sure if she's going to show us around town, or if we're going to show ourselves around town.
Somewhere in there, we'll be making a pit stop in CT to visit my dad's cousins too. Elvis is also in CT, but he'll be coming to NYC to meet up with us.
So yeah, this is what I've been thinking about for the last 2 weeks.
Got a major haircut last Friday. Cut 6-8 inches off. Needed a change and I pretty much told my stylist to do what she wanted, my only caveat is no bangs. She gave me an asymmetrical bob. Now that I've had a couple of days to get used to it, I totally love it. And my hair dries so quickly!
Also, just to follow up on it, I did end up getting a tat 3 weeks ago. It's healed up nicely, though it gets dry easily. I'm already trying to figure out when and where to put my next one.
I've been to NYC a few times and have never seen any vermin, except in the subway, on the tracks. But you see that in Chicago all the time!

Thanks for the tip! You were right, the only places I spotted any rodents were in the subway.
